"BestBuy left us with a gas leak"
Do not buy anything that BestBuy needs to install!
We bought an expensive range from BestBuy and when they finally delivered it we unfortunately had a terrible experience with the installation.

The technician who came to our home to install the range had no clue what he was doing and kept calling "papi" on facetime to guide him. I asked him to disconnect the 20 year old gas line and put in a new one I had purchased, as BestBuy requires a new gas line and is city code to use a new line on new installations. He was unable to disconnect the old gas line but got it loose enough to cause a leak, which he did not check for before leaving. After he left and we were able to arrange the mess left behind, I turned the line on and immediately smelled gas.

I've been calling Best Buy for a week now and they say there is nothing they can do at the moment and they will schedule a review for next week, almost 10 days after the initial installation. It is clear that Best Buy does not care if their installers mess up or if a consumer has a gas leak. I'm not a plumber, nor do I have the tools to fix this myself. Moreover If I do anything on this installation, Best Buy will void the warranty. So we are at the mercy of this company that clearly does not care about the safety of their clients.


All we are asking for is to have a specialized technician come to our home and either fix the leak or install a new line which is a 20 minute job, at most. But Best Buy cannot accommodate for that. We are just not important enough for them.

"Best Buy Guidance was great!"
Went into the Best Buy at the Vernon Hills location and it was splendid. I needed help choosing a gaming brand and the associate guided me towards SteelSeries.

Purchased on the spot in a short line and couldn't be happier. It was even cheaper than other online sites!

"I purchased an out of the box…"
I purchased an out of the box refrigerator, which was supposed to be delivered Tuesday. I got a call Tuesday morning telling me the delivery people had damaged it and it would not be delivered. They do not call you back and you have to wait till the next day to call them. I called Wednesday and they set up delivery for Friday. No delivery and no call to let me know. I called BB and told them the situation and they promised they would have someone called me. It is 530 at night. I haven’t had a call. I did call once again in the anfternoon and another person promised they would have the store directly call me because you can’t call a store directly and have a supervisor call. I got no calls. In the meantime I get a text saying they’re going to deliver on Tuesday and set up on Wednesday which is ridiculous and probably won’t happen anyway. I understand the refrigerator is not even in stock. I am a total tech member, and very disappointed.

Best Buy app notified me that my preorder game is available so I wasted my gas and time to drive across San Diego to go get it. Then they tell me that they can’t give it out till the next day even though they notified me to come get it. They suck

"Folsom listed phone number goes to Illinois"
Folsom-call the number listed and it goes to someone in Illinois & they cannot switch you to Folsom nor the salesperson that wrote up your invoice-canceled the order and went to RC Willey to buy our refrigerator-invoice and salesperson's card has real store number & salesman's cell-the salesperson even called me about my order and sent me an email-super communication unlike zero communication at Best Buy

The customer service on the phone is horrible - unhelpful, unprofessional, and unkind. The customer service on the floor is good, but the those working the phones are enough to turn me away as a customer.

I want it to cancel my membership and protection plan, and off course you can't because they want to charge your credit card right away for recovery fees. which no one told me before about that when i purchased laptop in best buy store. Never ever taking any membership becouse they lied about cancel any time when you want it

"Best Buy will disappear like Circuit City"
I see Best Buy disappearing like Circuit City. I bought a refrigerator over a month ago. I would make an appointment and a day before they would cancel and say the item was back ordered. I finally had enough so I called a local appliance store and they had the same item in stock. I found out that the items price increased in cost by $800. The store advised that the refrigerator was not back ordered and that there were 221 available. Not sure why Best Buy was saying they were back ordered. Maybe because they wanted $800 more. So many outlets to buy products like this so I will never use Best But again.

"Would fix a wrong address"
I have called them 8 times to fix my problem i had, they said they fixed never did the things i bought got sent to the wrong address and when i got a refund they said it would take a month to get it back.

"A big waste of time"
After having multiple issues with their delivery service (no text or call updates, no returned messages or emails) Today I took all day off to stay at home in my living room next to my front door and there wasnt a single knock at my door, text message or phone call. I saw they had "attempted to deliver" and I realized their delivery service has uploaded an old photo pretending to attempt to deliver today (I have a sign on my window asking E24 to text or call before they leave anticipating a third issue with them, that sign is not in their recent picture and I put it up yesterday) So their delivery service is commiting time fraud and pretending to deliver and wasting peoples time. I asked Best Buy to either cancel or give me some sort of compensation for my terrible experiance as I rushed home from work early yesterday and stayed home today. They did not offer a single doller of compensation after 30 min of waiting on hold so I'm opting for a refund and will not be going back to Best Buy. I'll pay more if needed and buy anywhere else.

Buying online at best buy has been a terrible experience.
I ordered an external hard drive on your website because I needed it immediately and it said that it would be available for pick up at my local store the next day (Thursday). Amazon could only deliver it on Friday, so I chose Best Buy. I went into the store Thursday afternoon and they didn't have my order, didn't seem to event know about it. A girl there told me she had put in a request to "push my order through" and that she would call me when it arrives. End of the day, nothing. Friday, nothing. On Saturday, I call customer service who said that my payment went through and that the order was waiting to be picked up by the local store. Saturday afternoon, I talked to the same girl from the store who said that she doesn't know where it is, has not hear anything and "will let me know". Then, on Sunday morning, I received an email from Best Buy saying my order has been cancelled and I will receive a refund. No other explanation. I waster time, money, energy, and sanity on trying to get a hard drive from Best Buy. I finally purchased one from Amazon and it arrived as promised on Monday.

They scammed me with a preorder, the game release date was pushed two years, they kept the money until the game was released but canceled it because of the price difference!!!! And won't give me my money! They keep giving me the run around!!!!! DO NOT BUY FROM BEST BUY!!!!!!!!

"Bad TV"
Bought a TV about little over 2 years ago the picture went out last week so far I have got nothing out of out of it customer service is trying to give me 319 when I paid 399 for the TV they say Vizio do not make a 58-in TV no more they're trying to give me a TCL Roku TV don't want that TV I want we'll just try to give me a store credit I ain't buying nothing from the store no more you guys are not back on your warranty up like you're supposed to I bought a Vizio I want a Vizio if not they need to get my full amount of money back and not a store credit either I'm getting no help from nobody I go to the store they don't help me customer service don't help me so somebody needs to make this right

"Absolutely horrible experience"
Absolutely horrible experience, both online and in-store.

I got personally insulted at a best buy store near me because I asked whether a product was in stock or not, because it said the product in question was in stock online.

I had so many problems just making an account and trying to order a product online, I decided against it.

"I haven't bought anything from Best Buy…"
I haven't bought anything from Best Buy in a while I can see why I don't even know how Best Buy's still open they've got the worst customer service and online support I've ever seen in my life I bought a cell phone cover they charged my credit card never sent me a order number couldn't get a refund, thank God I used PayPal. PayPal got my money back like a month later absolutely awful company I'm sure if this continues they'll be closed down in a couple years. They really are one of the worst companies I've ever seen.
